Cambridge University Boat Club interest, a presentation silver salver,
by Stower & Wragg Ltd., Sheffield 1942,
circular form, moulded border, engraved with the armorial shield of the boat club and inscribed with signatures and 'Presented to J.G.P Crowden on the occasion of his Marriage 29th January 1955', diameter 26.3cm, approx. weight 22.8oz.

James Gee Pascoe Crowden represented GB in the 1952 Olympics. He rowed in the 1951 and 1952 Boat Race. The salver is signed by the 1951 winning crew and two from the 1952 crew. He went on to be the Cambridge Rowing coach for twenty years.
