by Edward Smith, Birmingham 1836,
rectangular form, the hinged cover with a scene of a mounted huntsman and hounds in a landscape setting, silver-gilt interior inscribed 'Mr. James Cram by Mr. Isaac Moses, as a mark of friendship and Esteem, Portsea, Aug 31st 1838', foliate thumb-piece, foliate scroll sides, engine-turned base, length 8.2cm, approx. weight 5.8oz.
