A late-18th century Swiss gold and enamel snuff box,
with a charge mark for Jean-Jacques Prevost,
elongated oval form, with blue and white borders and scroll motifs, also with pink and white enamel, the hinged cover applied with a later gouache on paper scene of ladies and gentlemen in a landscape setting, under glass, red enamel border, (some chips), length 8.8cm, approx. weight 107g.
