Royal Association. A matched set of twelve George III dinner plates, of shaped circular outline with gadrooned borders and engraved Royal Ducal Arms, the reverse with initials "EDC" & "EAFs", one by William Frisbee and eleven by William Stroud, London 1803, 9.8in (25cm) diameter, 227oz. (12)

The Arms and initials EDC are those of Ernest Augustus, Duke of Cumberland, fifth son of George III and the initials "EAFs" are for "Ernest Augustus Fideikommis", the inventory mark of the entailed estate.
