Antonio Manoel de Vilhena period (1722-1736), maker's mark of FA probably for Francesco Assenza,
baluster form, with alternated lobed fluted and chased decoration, and chased foliate and strapwork, the base of the spout with a large foliate motif, and with a hinged shell cover, the main hinged cover with a gadroon border, fluted and chased decoration and with a wooden finial, foliate mounted wooden scroll handle, the front with a later crest, on a circular gadrooned foot, height 24.5cm, approx. weight 29oz. (904g).
