A late 19th century Indian silver presentation casket, of rectangular form, embossed with scenes of 'Porter Town Hall' and 'College', within figural and foliate borders, the interior inscribed 'Presented to W.A.Porter Esquire, M.A by His Pupils, Friends and Admirers, 17th January 1885, Kumbakonam', unmarked, length 28.4cm., approx. weight 68oz.
