An 18th century silver-mounted mother-of-pearl tobacco box
An 18th century silver-mounted mother-of-pearl tobacco box,
apparently unmarked except for an incuse 'H', circa 1750,
oval form, the hinged cover with an engraved mother-of-pearl panel of seated gentleman drinking in a landscape setting, the inside of the cover set with a worn portrait miniature, mother-of-pearl base, length 10.8cm.
