A 19th century gold-mounted bloodstone desk seal,

unmarked,

the tapering carved handle with classical figures and foliate scroll decoration and with a mask terminal, plain mount, fluted matrix mount, the matrix engraved with an armorial, length 10cm.

The arms are those of Rolls, 1st and 2nd Baron Llangattock of The Hendre, Monmouthshire, with the shield of Rolls quartering Allen and Barnett.
