A 19th century Russian silver snuff box,
Moscow, date rubbed, maker's mark possibly that of I. Kaltykov,
rectangular form, with traces of niello decoration, the cover with a horseman, the reverse with military arms, the borders engraved with buildings, length 6.3cm, approx. weight 1.7oz.
