A Victorian silver inkstand, by F Brastead, London 1873/74, oval form, embossed and chased figural, foliate and lion mask decoration, stylised foliate border, on four scroll bracket feet, with a silver mounted cut-glass inkwell of globular form, with overlay scroll decoration, hinged cover with a mermaid finial, length 27cm, approx. weight 13oz.
