An early 18th century West Country silver tea caddy
An early 18th century West Country silver tea caddy,
maker's mark RW struck three times, possibly for Roland West, Salisbury circa 1710,
rectangular form, canted corners, pull-off cover and base, engraved with a crest, the underside of the base scratch initialled 'B' over 'I*B', height 12.2cm, approx. weight 6.8oz.
The crest is that of Bruges, of Wiltshire.
