Pontic Kingdom, Mithradates VI, Eupator, the Great (120-63 BC), silver Tetradrachm, in name and type of Alexander the Great, Odessos mint, Herakles right, rev. Zeus seated left with eagle and staff, 16.5gms; Cappadocian Kingdom, Ariarathes IX, Eusebes Philopator, silver Drachm, head right, rev. standing Athena, 4gms. Both very fine first on full flan, second with obverse off-centre. (2) Ariarathes IX was the son of Mithradates VI.
