An Elizabeth I silver Pomander,
unmarked circa 1600,
globular form, with six hinged sections engraved with royal portraits, the screw-up finial opens the six segments. each with engraved decoration and open compartments, and with a central hexagonal column with engraved decoration, on a circular foot with rope-work borders, height 8cm, approx. weight 4oz.
