A pair of George III silver barrel beakers,

by Urquhart and Hart, London 1803,

barrel form, with bands of reeded decoration, the bodies with a crest, and the ends also with a crest and motto, the beaker screws apart in the middle to form two beakers, with traces of gilding to the interiors, height open 7.8cm, height closed 15cm, approx. weight 19oz. (2)

Provenance:

A Private Collection.

Purchased from Asprey, New Bond Street London 4 January 1994.

The crest is possibly Sankey of Coolmore, Tipperary.
