λAn early Victorian silver paint box,
by Rawlings and Summers, London 1841,
rectangular form, the interior with thirteen compartments for paint and a compartment for brushes, the hinged cover with a foliate scroll thumb-piece and engraved with an armorial and initials, the underside with a hinged finger ring, and with a detachable ivory palette, length 11.5cm, approx. weight 5.8oz.
