An early 19th century silver vinaigrette,
maker's mark AL over W, circa 1800,
plain oval bellied form, the hinged cover opens to reveal a pierced and engraved foliate scroll grille with two hearts and a banner inscribed 'a jamais constant', length 4cm, approx. weight 0.8oz.
