A George III silver nutmeg grater,

by Phipps and Robinson, London 1789,

oval form, hinged cover and base, the hinged cover engraved with armorial shield, length 4.9cm, approx. weight 1.3oz.

The arms are that of Leigh or Prideaux impaling St. Aubyn: probably Edmund Prideaux who married Hebe Elizabeth John St. Aubyn at St. Paul's Church, Covent Garden on 9th November 1797.

Provenance: A Private Collection.
