An early 18th century silver snuff box of book form, unmarked, circa 1730, rectangular form, the flush hinged cover and base with engraved foliate decoration, gilded pages and interior, the spine inscribed, ' OVID DE ARTE AMANDI', length 7.8cm, approx. weight 2.7oz. Purchased from Phillips, London 30 April 1982.
