rectangular form, the hinged cover with an engraved portrait of Nelson within an oval border, inscribed 'England Expects Every Man Will Do His Duty', and with a banner 'Trafalgar Oct 21. 1805', with reeded and dot decoration, the base with similar decoration and with initials, plain thumb-piece, gilded interior, length 5.3cm, approx. weight 1oz.
