A pair of George II Irish silver-gilt waiters,
by William Townsend, Dublin circa 1745,
circular form, scroll and shell border, the centre engraved with scrolls, diaperwork and flowers around a worn vacant cartouche, the undersides with scratch weights '10:1:½' and '9:14', on three hoof feet, diameter 16.3cm, total approx. weight 18.5oz. (2)
