oval form, gadroon border, engraved with an armorial and a crest, length 34.8oz, total approx. weight 61.1oz. (2)

The armorial and crest are that of Charles Chetwynd-Talbot, 2nd Earl Talbot (1777-1849). Talbot was Viceroy of Ireland (1817-1821) and made a Knight of St. Patrick in 1817 and a Knight of the Garter in 1844.
