A George III silver meat platter,
by Digby Scott & Benjamin Smith and with a retailer's mark, London 1805,
shaped oval form, reeded border with trailing grapevines, engraved with an armorial, length 42.3cm, approx. weight 61oz.

The armorial is that of William, 2nd Baron Bagot and Lady Emily Fitzroy (d. 1800), who married in 1799.
