A Mary I silver Apostle spoon, St Peter,
maker's mark of a crescent enclosing a star, for Nicholas Bartholomew, London 1553,
fig-shaped bowl, the reverse scratch initialled 'RV' tapering faceted stem, with a gilded Apostle finial holding a large key, damage to the pierced nimbus, the reverse of the bowl with an old collection label, length 18cm, approx. weight 1.8oz.
