circular form, later embossed scroll and foliate decoration, with a fluted band and gadrooned rims, two scroll-formed cartouches, one engraved with an armorial, one inscribed 'Presented by COL. L E.D.W. SIBTHORP. M.P, Commanding the Royal South Lincoln Militia, To ROB SHIPMAN ESQR, on the resignation of his commission as SURGEON to that regiment. Aug 9 1854', diameter of bowl 29.2cm, approx. weight 68.1oz.
