A George II silver swing-handled basket,
maker's mark only, for Peter Archambo, London circa 1730,
oval form, pierced decoration, shell and scroll border, the swing-handle with masks, shells and chased decoration, the centre with an armorial within foliate mantling, on a raised pierced oval foot, length 31cm, approx. weight 50.8oz.
The armorial is that of Johnston of Westerhall impaling Keene.
