rounded rectangular form, the hinged cover with blue enamel, ivory banding and with an oblong cartouche of plaited hair under glass with a pearl border, ivory panelled sides and a blue enamel base with ivory stringing, the interior inscribed 'Mrs Holland, Daughter of Lancelot Brown, Grandmother of C.A Lady Fraser', the interior of the cover with a mirror, length 8.8cm, approx. weight total weight 76g.

Bridget Brown, (born 1746) was the daughter of Capability Brown, and she married Henry Holland, the architect and business partner of Brown in February 1773.
