A late-Victorian silver two-handled trophy bowl,
by D and J Wellby, London 1897,
circular form, central girdle, leaf capped bifurcated flying scroll handles, on a raised circular foot, engraved with a crest and inscribed 'Dublin Horse Show 1900, First Prize Hunters' Jumping won by A.J. Wansbrough's Blackbird', length handle to handle 46.5cm, approx. weight 71oz.
Provenance: A.J Wansbrough and then by descent to the current owner.
