A Victorian silver travelling dressing table set,
by Thomas Whitehouse, London 1882, retailed by John Bagshaw and Sons, Liverpool,
the covers with engraved foliate scroll decoration, also engraved with a monogram, glass bodies, comprising: three scent bottles, four toilet jars, and three toilet boxes, with a six-piece steel and mother-of-pearl manicure set, in a fitted coromandel case, with brass banding, the cover inscribed 'G.H. Geddes', the interior of the cover with a leather-clad removable mirror and a stationary wallet, the hinged drop-down front reveals two pull-out drawers, one fitted for jewellery and with a writing slope top, length 33cm, height 21.5cm, approx. weighable 5.3oz.
