modelled as a camp bed, inscribed ' With Colonel Aspinwall's thanks to Lt. C. Thorne, for many good nights, 1901-2', length 12.3cm, approx. weight 1.9oz.
Provenance: The James Walker Collection, Christie's South Kensington, 13 July 2006, lot 400.
Lt. Col. J.H Aspinwall is listed in the November 1901 Army List as being in the 3rd. Prince of Wales Dragoon Guards, Honorary Lt. C.H. Thorne was the regimental Quartermaster.
