A George III silver snuff box,
by Phipps and Robinson, London 1799,
rounded rectangular form, the cover engraved with brick-work and with a flautist under trees, with a figure in the background, the underside with a rustic dancing scenes, the interior with an allegorical scene of Britannia, her shield with the initials 'JJS', length 8cm, approx. weight 3.4oz.
