Carrie Lees trained as a fine art photographer at St Martins and the Black and White School of Photography where she immersed herself in traditional printing techniques, producing exhibition quality work. Her work featured in many group exhibitions including The Summer Exhibition at The Royal Academy and in various Condé Nast publications. She subsequently worked as a successful portrait photographer for many years where she developed techniques that focused on the manipulation of natural light to create timeless images and printed using museum quality papers. More recently she has experimented with using these skills and the same traditional methods to create similar “portraits” of plants.
