An old collector’s note glued to the back of the ribbons attributes the group to Captain Alexander Anderson RGA who was a mining engineer and was attached to the Munitions Inventions Department and was later the Director of an anti-submarine experimental group under the Admiralty. This attribution has not been confirmed.
