Royal Buckinghamshire Militia: a quantity of archival material and ephemera, comprising: a bound series of regimental returns, July 1812 to January 1816; a collection of letters written during 1854 to Colonel the Right Honourable Lord Carrington (commanding the regiment), correspondents including the barracks master at Weedon Barracks and the Major of Brigades, subjects including hospital supplies and a case of smallpox, procedure for submitting regimental returns, arrears of accommodation payments, the search for a militiaman absent without leave, an improperly conducted court martial, and other similarmatters, pasted bythe edges into a re-used book binding; and a scrapbook of 18th (1) and late-19th (the remainder) news cuttings on matters relating to the regiment.
