Our latest auction includes a wonderful private collection of firearms featuring several very good vintage service rifles as well as earlier antique arms. The medal section offers a number of very prestigious groups such as the impressive array of orders and medals to Sir Philip John Row, K.C.V.O., O.B.E., R.N., and the group to this officer’s father, which includes the scarce Turkish Imtiaz medal in gold. Gallantry awards are also well represented, notably a Military Cross group to a Royal Engineers officer who displayed great courage and devotion to his duty in the bridging of the Rhine in 1945. Bidders will also find a very good selection of edged weapons and militaria, such as a historic court document from the war crimes trial of the Stalag Luft II murderers, and several lots of badges and insignia.
