A small collection of First World War Campaign Medals to the 18th Battalion London Regiment (London Irish Rifles), comprising: pair: British War Medal and Victory Medal (20486 PTE. F. ALLEN. 18-LOND. R.), together with a Defence Medal in postage box to a female relative of this man, and a St John Ambulance Association badge with 1941 clasp to another relative; another such pair (5960 PTE. W.J.ANGLIN. 18-LOND.R.); another pair (LIEUT. W.T. ANTILL); another pair (7047 PTE. A.F. BAXTER. 18TH. LOND. R.); another pair (2911 PTE. W. D. BETTS. 18-LOND. R.), together with a quantity of associated shooting prize medals; and a Territorial Force War Medal (1558 PTE. F. J .W. BENSON. 18-LOND. R.); offered with much copy research, medals very fine and better, the last nearly extremely fine. [12 official medals].
Private Anglin served in various units, including in the Royal Engineers as a railway plate layer. Private Baxter was awarded a Silver War Badge.
