France: a cased set of medals and cliches, Napoleonic series and associated types, comprising: bronze medals (7), 40 mm: Conquest of Naples 1806, Conquest of Istria 1806, Crossing of the Vistula 1807, Anvers attacked by the English 1809 (Walcheren Campaign), Organisation of Public Education, Visit of Alexander I of Russia to Paris 1814, Louis XVIII Carries the Peace of the World 1814, variously by Bertrand Andrieu, Nicolas Guy Antoine Brenet, Alexis Joseph Depaulis and Joseph Francois Domard, under Dominique Vivant Denon, very minor deterioration only, all extremely fine or better; together with copper washed lead cliches after Andrieu (8), 85mm (2) and 68mm (6): Siege of the Bastille 1789, Arrival of the King in Paris 1789, laureate bust of Napoleon Bonaparte, Crossing of the Great St Bernard Pass 1800, diademed bust of the Empress Josephine (2), Baptism of the infant King of Rome 1811, diademed bust of the Empress Marie Louise, the first with an edge split at 7 o'clock, minor degree of buckling to some others, much copper absorption, in two tiered fabric lined trays within a mahogany case.
