Three medals to 2nd Lieutenant Reginald Charles John Loxton, 18th Battalion London Regiment (London Irish Rifles): 1914-15 Star (1912. PTE. R. LOXTON. 18-LOND. R.), British War Medal 1914-20 and Victory Medal (2. LIEUT. R. C. J. LOXTON.), good very fine; together with an associated London Irish Rifles Lodge jewel, silver-gilt and enamels, Birmingham 1924, good very fine. [4]
Enlisted 10/08/1914 and went to France with 1/18 Battalion 09/03/1915. Served at Loos and the Somme, where he has wounded 15/09/1916. Commissioned 2nd Lieutenant 07/08/1917, his obituary states that he was also gassed at High Wood, and that he remained in the army after the armistice, serving in Adena in Turkey, and at a POW camp at Rugeley.
