A rare* 17th century English plug bayonet

A rare* 17th century English plug bayonet, flamboyant blade 11.5 in., engraved at the base with 'GOD SAVE KING JAMES THE 2' to one side and with an arched crown to the other, struck on each side with an armourer's mark of a king's head, and with the inlaid copper dagger mark of the Cutlers' Company of London on one side; brass mounted hilt of 'Helmet-Head' type with polished ebony grip and helmeted head finials to the pommel and each quillon, some restoration to the hilt; in a scabbard of embossed leather with brass straps along each edge united by two straps across each face, lacking chape; offered together with: R.D.C.
