Born in Belfast November 1891 and enlisted 20/04/1910. On home service between 1910 and 1912 before transfer to Malta in March 1912 where he remained for the duration of the Great War. His MSM Index card notes Home Service, but this would appear to be an error, since the date accords with his service on Malta. This would make it one of only three to the Corps for Malta during the First World War. He was also mentioned on the Secretary of State For War's List for Valuable Services during the War, 13/03/1918. After the war he appeared as a witness to identify a fellow soldier murdered in Dublin, March 1920. Offered with research.
