A sabaton in the gothic style

A sabaton in the gothic style, heel and foot plates hinged at the side, raised flange to the rear of the heel plate, foot plate extended towards the long spiked terminal by a series of ten articulated lames with riveted joints, the whole formed with a shallow medial ridge, in the manner of the mid to late 15th Century and thought to be of the period.
