The London Rifle Brigade: a silver prize medal to 33 mm, a Victorian Rifle Volunteer standing left, 'DEFENCE NOT DEFIANCE', rev. 'LONDON RIFLE BRIGADE ENRLD 1859' to a scroll, edge engraved ("D" COY R.F.M.N. C. W. TAIT. M.C. 1921.), nearly extremely fine.
Apparently former Temporary Captain Clarence Willett Tait, Military Cross and Bar, Rifle Brigade. M.C: L.G. 19/11/1917 (valuable reconnaissance under sniper fire); Bar: L.G. 16/09/1918 (prolonged exposure to fire and highly effective leadership until wounded).
