A very fine Pashtun sword (pulouar), deeply curved Persian blade of well watered steel 30 in., inlaid in gold with the important maker's name of Zamman Isfahani to a cartouche, further gold script: 'Naser min Allah wa fateh qarib' (Victory from God); engraved steel hilt with pierced langets, down-turned quillons, swollen grip, shallow cup-shaped pommel with stepped finial; leather covered scabbard.
