A Japanese sword (katana or o-wakizashi), hon-zukuri blade 21.5 in (possibly re-shaped at the point), midare hamon, mu mei; gilt copper habaki with neko-gaki, iron tsuba with geometric decoration in low relief, iron fuchi-kashira with incuse dragonflies, zoomorphic menuki, lacquered saya with kojiri en suite to the hilt mountings, possibly an example of a showa era civilian sword.
