Two Japanese swords mounted as a set (daisho), the daito with 28 in. blade, hon-zukuri, torii-zori, notare hamon, mumei, plain shakudo habaki; the Wakizashi with 18 in. blade of similar tsukurikomi, slightly irregular hamon based on suguha, two character mei (reads as 'masamichi'); the partial closely matched mountings with relief decorated iron fittings (that of the daito depicting a dragon passing through each side), gold and shakudo menuki to the wakizashi (menuki laking from the daito and both hilts without tape wrapping), black laquered saya, the wakizashi with a kogatana.
