λ Major General Henry Edward Manning Douglas, V.C., C.B., C.M.G., D.S.O., Royal Army Medical Corps: a presentation silver cigarette box, engraved dedication from the staff of the Royal Army Medical College October 13th 1929, facsimile signatures to the sides, Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Co., London 1928; together with an Indian ivory statuette of the General, in dress uniform, wearing his orders, decorations and medals, his hand resting on the hilt of an 1831 pattern general officer's sword, the base engraved 'DOUGLAS V.C. and 'K.R. DESH PANDE FECIT POONA''; and a plaster bust of the general, by the same designer, dated 2nd August 1932. [3]
