A Prussian model 1811 cavalry trooper's sword, broad curved hatchet-point blade 32.25 in., spine marked with year of manufacture (1831); steel stirrup hilt with D-shaped langets, back strap with ears, ribbed grip; steel scabbard with two loose rings; guard and scabbard with various unit and rack markings: '473 S1' and '503 S1' (possibly 1st Silesian Hussar Regiment), '9.T.E.F.3.23.' (possibly 9th Train Bn Ersatz Fuhrparkkolonne (replacement supply column)), '2.T.P.3.98.' (possibly 3rd company 2nd supply column); drag marked 'FBH' and '728'
