Our final jewellery sale of 2024 will take place on the 30th and 31st October. Headlining the sale are two impressive diamond necklaces – a chic rivière of emerald-cut diamonds by Swiss family jewellers Adler (lot 844), and an opulent fringe of hearts and ovals totalling over 90 carats (lot 853). Other highlights include a superb pair of natural pearl and coloured diamond earrings (851), a rare Art Deco emerald and diamond bracelet by London jeweller Drayson (849), a 5.07 carat G VS2 diamond ring (848), and a beautiful 3.53 carat Kashmir sapphire ring (852). We’re also delighted to have two lots of particularly illustrious prominence – a magnificent natural pearl and diamond brooch from the collection of prominent socialite Nancy Astor (786), and an extraordinary sentimental collar necklace commissioned by the 7th Duke of Marlborough, bearing the initials of the fascinating Spencer-Churchill children (841). A charming dendritic agate carving of a pig attributed to the Russian imperial jeweller Fabergé (435) also features as an exciting new rediscovery. With an array of fascinating antique jewels including ancient intaglios, Georgian mourning rings and a gold thimble by Eugène Fontenay alongside striking designs by Grima, Angela Cummings for Tiffany & Co., and a stylish untreated jadeite and red spinel sautoir, there’s something here for collectors of all eras of superb jewellery design. Finally, a selection of modern signed jewels, handbags and accessories caters to fans of enduringly popular names such as Cartier, Bulgari, Hermès and Chanel.
