A 19th century Egyptian Revival winged scarab brooch, the blue faience scarab engraved to the reverse with a mask, probably Anubis. The wings decorated with rows of white, brown and turquoise filigree enamel and pellet clusters to the upper sections. The collet holding the scarab with pellet and twisted wire decoration. Attributed to Giacinto Melillo. 5cm wide. Wooden rectangular box with plum velvet lining, signed Giacinto Melillo, Napoli.
