A ruby, emerald, pearl and diamond locket pendant necklace, circa 1830, designed as a heart-shaped padlock in varicoloured gold, applied with flowers set with pear- and cushion-shaped emeralds and rubies, cushion-shaped diamonds and half pearls, opening to reveal a small glazed compartment for hair, suspended from a rope chain to a barrel clasp applied with gold cannetille, pendant length 3.3cm, pearls untested, chain length 44cm, likely later matched with pendant, clasp possibly later added
