A Victorian diamond rivière necklace and pendant, late 19th and early 20th century, the necklace composed of graduated circular-cut diamonds in silver collet settings, the diamonds totalling approximately 9.00-10.00 carats, suspending a detachable early 20th century pendant of hexagonal outline, pavé-set with circular-cut diamonds totalling approximately 5.50 carats, necklace length 37.2cm, pendant length 3.1cm
Diamonds in rivière ranging from approximately 0.65-0.07 carats, calculated total approximately 9.00-10.00 carats, estimated to be approximately G-I colour on average, mixed clarity grades, overall appearing attractive and well-matched. Necklace is likely silver and gold with later rhodium plating. Pendant tests as platinum, very fine quality, later pendant hook soldered on, screw for brooch fitting (deficient) and retractable hoop for additional use as pendant. Largest diamond approximately 0.70 carats, diamonds estimated to be G-I colour, VS-SI clarity on average estimated total diamond weight approximately 5.50 carats..
